Schedules, Photos, Masks and Spectators
To All In WNSL Baseball and Football,
We are diligently working on the schedules for both baseball and flag football.
There will be more of the schedule for baseball and football posted in the next day or so on
www.wnsl.org
.
The weather has played heck with us so far and lets hope it dries out soon and stays dry for a while. It is bad when it is too wet to even practice much less play games.
FYI, There are not enough teams to play over the Labor Day weekend (Friday-Monday) so we will take that entire time off from playing. Of course the weather will be great but we will not be playing games.
FYI, The schedule will be posted for 3-4 weeks out but we normally leave enough wiggle room for the last 3 weeks or so of the season to match teams up better. This applies more for flag football but may apply for fall baseball as well.
We are planning on having our photo day on Saturday September 12th. We must take photos of the football teams for our sponsor plaques. The photo company takes a quick individual photo of all players and coaches on a team and then places all of the team members into a team photo. No group photos are taken. It is quick and easy from what I hear. Please be ready for photos on September 12th.
I received an email from our Metro Parks folks and it was reported to them that most folks on the Warner Park fields were not wearing masks and they asked me to convey to everyone that we should all wear masks while on the fields- even coaches and referees. Players are exempt but everyone else should have a mask on. Please do not shoot the messenger and let us all try to do our part. We do not want the Health Department to shut down our youth sports.
The good news is we can have 2 spectators/player now. At least that is positive!!
Stay safe and enjoy the holiday weekend if we do not see you the next few days. Be ready to play a lot of games after Labor Day if Mother Nature will cooperate.
Scott
